What is maptoclips?

maptoclips is a browser tool that turns a Google Maps link into a finished 9:16 property video. You paste the link, trace the plot boundary, and it renders a vertical MP4 with the boundary drawn on, nearby roads highlighted and amenity distances measured.

Do I need a drone or a video editor?

No. Every frame is rendered from map data, so there is no site visit, no camera and no editing timeline — the camera moves, transitions and sound cues are all generated for you.

Which Google Maps links work?

Any Google Maps URL works, including shortened maps.app.goo.gl links. The link resolves straight to the property, so you can copy it from the Maps app on your phone and paste it as-is.

What format and length is the video?

The output is a true 9:16 MP4 at 720×1280, typically around 30 seconds. It posts to Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and WhatsApp Status without re-cropping, and the length follows your voiceover — each section stretches to fit its own narration.

Does it work for land plots and farms?

Yes — plots of any size are supported, because the boundary zoom runs from 5 km wide down to 84 m. You trace the outline point by point, so irregular land parcels are as easy as a rectangular site, and the plot area is captioned in square feet.

Where does the road data come from?

Roads come from OpenStreetMap, filtered down to genuine named streets. That is a level of street detail the mainstream map APIs don't expose, which is why real road names can be highlighted and labelled in the video.
